Fun Friday 27 July 2018

We have been reading how the kumera came to New Zealand. We learned how it has changed from being small finger sized vegetables to the larger and varied coloured vegetable that we see in New Zealand today. Thanks to the Fakava family for giving us three huge kumeras that we cubed and cooked today. We cooked three batches - salted, tuscan seasoned & honey with three different dipping sauces. A variety of reactions and plenty of smiles! General reaction..... delicious!
